Android Lollipop
The latest update from the Android OS known as Lollipop is one of the biggest updates Android has ever released. From a new design to new unique features, this OS will give developers a lot of room to create uniquely amazing apps that are unique and professional. You can already see a few major players such as Google doing similar updates to keep up with the look and feel of the Lollipop system.
Material Design
To make the UI of the Lollipop more natural Android implements Material design. The design creates a consistent user experience across all your devices. It provides responsiveness, natural motion graphics, superb lighting and shadows creative depth of perception and visual elements that even your eighty-year-old grandmother would be able to handle like a pro.
The UI implements a wide range of vivid colours, familiar typography and edge-to-edge imagery in order to keep your eyes on what’s truly important!
Notifications
The notification features also got a reboot. Now you will be able to schedule priority notifications, answer from the lock screen and even schedule recurring downtimes such as turning off notifications past a certain hour and activating it at another specific hour.
Even if you stream, an incoming call won’t interrupt what you are watching. Rather, it will appear as a notification that you can attend to or hold off for later. You will also be able to hide sensitive information at will.
Battery
The battery saver feature included in the Lollipop update will give your devices up to 90 minutes of extra battery life and will notify you on how long it will take to fully charge. Similarly, it will tell you when you have to plug in your device for charging.
Device Sharing
You can now create multiple users and even guest accounts meaning your personal information will be hidden from these users. Let’s say you need to call someone but forgot your phone. Simply log into your account and all your information is ready to be used. Log out, and your information goes with you!
You can even pin screens, which will allow users to only look at the pinned screen and nothing else giving you total control over the content you are sharing.
Connecting to TV
With Android TV, you will have a user interface adapted for living rooms. The browser is reduced to stream only the most important information and will even recommend movies based on your preferences. With Google Play and Youtube, you’ll also be able to do voice searches eliminating the need for typing. With Google Cast for Android TV devices
